Attention U14 8th Graders

(Soon to be HS Freshmen)

For those that are considering playing soccer in high school or would just like to continue

playing in the summer, here are some opportunities to consider.  These programs will help

you prepare for the high school teams.  They are not required and they do not guarantee

that you will be on the team.

Summer Soccer League

Join the East Lyme Soccer Associations high school team. The summer league is a fun league with no standings kept.

You must register prior to June 30th.  Send in this FORM, $5 (The $30 is only if you are not registered with secjsa)

and write your registration number on the form.  Contact  to get your registration number.

Most games will be on weekends and will cost about $5 for each home team player.  There will not be any practices.

ELHS Soccer

Season starts August 25.  Location is to be determined.  Contact the school prior to this date to find out where to go.

8th grade students should have received all the paperwork needed to play.  It includes forms for:  Parental Permission,

Medical Release and a School Physical.  Do not delay getting the physical appointment.  The physicals are good for a year

and have to be done each year the student plays sports.  If you do not have all the required paperwork, contact Linda in the

Athletic Department at 739-1418.

The high school coaches have summer work out plans.  You are encouraged to follow these plans.  You can get a copy at the

athletics department.  If someone can get me a copy of the work out plan, I can post it here.

Good Luck,

Charlie Acuna
